At Ace Flight Academy, our team of instructors brings exceptional real-world aviation experience that sets our training apart.  Led by Jacob Patrick a former U.S. Navy F/A-18E/F Super Hornet instructor with extensive civilian and aerial firefighting experience, our program is built on precision, discipline, and operational excellence.

Our instructors include highly experienced CFIs and ATP-rated pilots with backgrounds in single and multi-engine training, instrument instruction, and advanced aircraft operations. With thousands of hours of combined dual instruction, they emphasize strong aeronautical decision-making, cockpit discipline, and real-world application of flying skills. This blend of military and civilian aviation expertise ensures students receive efficient, structured, and highly practical flight training.

Private Pilot License

Join our premier Private Pilot training program at Ace Flight Academy and take the first step toward becoming a pilot. A Private Pilot License allows you to fly aircraft for personal travel and recreation while building the foundational skills of aviation. With experienced instructors, hands-on flight training, and guidance from ground school through check-ride preparation, we provide the knowledge and confidence you need to earn your license.

Requirements

  • Be at least 16 years old to fly solo and at least 17 years old to obtain a pilot certificate.
  •  Must be able to read, speak, write, and understand English proficiently. 
  • Hold or Obtain a Third-Class FAA Medical Certificate

Instrument Rating

Train for your Instrument Rating at Ace Flight Academy and learn to fly safely and precisely in low visibility and challenging weather conditions. This advanced certification builds your skills in instrument navigation, procedures, and decision-making, preparing you to fly more confidently and capably in controlled airspace.

Requirements

  • Hold a valid Private Pilot or Commercial Pilot license
  • Must log a minimum flight hours of:
    • Cross Country: 50 Hours
    • Instrument time: 40 Hours
    • Instrument training: 15 Hours
    • Cross Country Flight: Under an IFR flight plan, including airways/ATC routing and three different kinds of instrument approaches

Commercial Pilot License

Advance your aviation career with the Commercial Pilot License program at Ace Flight Academy. A Commercial Pilot License allows you to be compensated for flying and opens the door to professional aviation opportunities. Through advanced flight training, real-world experience, and dedicated instructor support, we help you develop the precision, professionalism, and confidence required for a career in aviation.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a valid Private Pilot Certificate
  • Must log a minimum of 250 flight hours
    • Pilot in Command: 100 Hours (50 in airplanes)
    • Cross-Country Time: 50 hours (10 hours in airplanes)
    • Instrument Training: 10 hours
    • Complex / TAA Aircraft: 10 hours of training in a complex or technically advanced airplane (TAA).
    • Solo Training: 10 hours of solo training, including a long cross-country and night flights.

Certified Flight Instructor

Become a Certified Flight Instructor with Ace Flight Academy and gain the qualifications to teach and train future pilots while building valuable flight experience. Through advanced instruction, effective teaching techniques, and thorough check ride preparation, our program develops the knowledge, professionalism, and confidence needed to succeed as a flight instructor.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a valid Commercial Pilot License
  • Hold an Instrument Rating
  • You must receive logbook endorsements from a certified instructor on the fundamentals of instructing and in areas like stall awareness, spin entry, spins, and spin recovery.

Multi-Engine Instructor​

Expand your instructional qualifications with the Multi-Engine Instructor program at Ace Flight Academy. This certification allows you to train pilots in multi-engine aircraft while sharpening your own advanced aviation skills. With expert instruction, real-world multi-engine operations, and comprehensive check ride preparation, our program prepares you to confidently teach and operate complex aircraft.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Hold a valid Commercial Pilot Certificate with a Multi-engine land rating and instrument rating
  • Hold a Certified Flight Instructor Certificate
  • Log Minimum of 15 hours PIC in a multi-engine, 3 hours of flight training within the preceding 2 calendar months in preparation for the practical test, gave right-seat proficiency
